Advances in Printing
The printing press had not changed tremendously since the time of Gutenberg, but the dawn of the 19th century saw inventors attempting to apply new technology to the production of printed pages. The Stanhope Press, the first press built entirely of iron, and Frederick Koenig's cylindrical press, created a revolution. Before long steam power was added, and printing would reach the masses.
